Chris Byrne was a specialist adviser to the (former) UK Department of Trade & Industry on technical textiles for several years and continues to act as a project monitor for several Technology Strategy Board-funded projects as well as an EU project reviewer. He also works closely with other leading consultancies as a specialist team member and has international experience in Turkey, Taiwan, South Korea, China, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Pakistan, Malaysia, Thailand, Russia, Latvia, Romania, Hungary, Tunisia, USA, Portugal and France as well as throughout the UK and Ireland.

International development agency clients have included the World Bank, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, UNIDO, ILO and the European Union Phare programme.
